Parquet install & laying — substrate, pattern, finish

Our in-house crew installs parquet and engineered board by method sheet — from substrate protocol to finished handover.

Urgent:8(800)550-2336

Moisture, acclimatization, glue or plywood — by board construction.

We install wooden floors only: parquet and engineered board. Tile, marble and other coverings are out of scope.

Two on-site scenarios: our manufacture parquet — one batch with the interior — or third-party board after a compatibility protocol.

Cardinal Hall parquet

One batch with kitchen, doors and panels — full cycle from production to install. ±0.5 mm geometry, 280-day drying, Saicos / Osmo / Bona finish.

  • One batch: floor, kitchen, doors, panels
  • Production → finish → install by our crew
  • Up to 25 years on product + install by contract

Client material

Third-party parquet or engineered board after a compatibility audit: moisture, construction, adhesive, finish. Warranty covers installation workmanship.

  • Audit protocol before install starts
  • Warranty on installation workmanship only
  • Method sheet after compatibility check

The method sheet depends on board construction and pattern. Below — Cardinal Hall catalog directions; each type is installed under its own protocol.

Two base method sheets — plywood subfloor or direct glue-down — chosen after substrate diagnosis and board construction. Historical and artistic methods need a separate layout protocol and cumulative tolerance control.

Traditional

Traditional

  • Substrate assessment and datum zero.
  • Moisture-resistant plywood on PU adhesive with subsequent sanding.
  • Parquet bonded on PU adhesive with perimeter moisture barrier.
Modern

Modern

  • Substrate preparation and reinforced primer.
  • Parquet on silane adhesive without a plywood layer.
  • Junction checks and finish protection after laying.
Historic

Historic

  • Timber joists on rough substrate.
  • Lower and upper moisture-resistant plywood layers with sanding of each layer.
  • Artistic or strip parquet preserving historic geometry.
Artistic

Artistic

  • Substrate preparation and datum zero for complex patterns.
  • Multi-stage sanding and precise assembly of decorative modules.
  • Multi-layer oil or lacquer finish with joint and pattern control.

  1. Substrate diagnosis

Screed moisture, flatness, bond strength. No green light for laying if out of tolerance — technical solution first.

  2. Acclimatisation and layout

Material rests in the target microclimate. Layout aligns with light direction and architectural axes.

  3. Laying and perimeter lock

Traditional plywood method or direct bond on a prepared substrate. Perimeter expansion gap and adhesive-bed control.

  4. Sanding and finish

Multi-stage sanding, tinting when needed, oil or lacquer in a regulated number of coats.

  5. Handover

Acceptance protocol, care guidance and service card. Designer supervision at key stages.

Four acceptance gates — without a green light on any point, laying does not start and the floor is not handed over.

  1. Moisture

CM / meter readings logged before start.

  2. Flatness

≤ 2 mm over 2 m — technical fix first if out of tolerance.

  3. Pattern & joints

Layout locked on plan before production.

  4. Finish with interior

One tone with doors and panels from the batch.

Finish stack is fixed in the contract. Below — catalog directions and a separate service if the floor is already down.

Contract and warranty on parquet installation

Three responsibility contours — we do not mix install workmanship, product and third-party material. Scope, stages and terms are fixed in writing after substrate diagnosis.

  • Scope and responsibility — in the contract before start
  • Stages, schedule and finish stack — in writing
  • Acceptance act + checkpoint protocol
  • Care protocol and service card at handover
  • Warranty service — per contract terms

Installation specification for the project

Four documents for working drawings — from substrate protocol to handover act. Issued before start, aligned with architect and developer.
