Maple

Acer

Processing & Finish

The finish defines the look, feel, and longevity of your floor. Below is what each option is, where it fits, and what it delivers.

Lacquer

Lacquer builds a hard, multi-layer film with UV curing. The floor gains maximum resistance to wear and moisture; gloss or matte is your choice. Ideal for corridors, offices, retail, and any high-traffic space where long life and low maintenance matter.

Oil Finish

Oil is a finish that soaks into the wood rather than sitting on top as a film. The floor stays matte, breathable, and pleasant to the touch. Scratches or worn spots can be refreshed locally without sanding the whole floor. The choice for residential interiors where natural look and eco credentials matter.

Tinting

Tinting colors the parquet in your chosen shade while keeping the grain visible. Colors can be matched to RAL, NCS, Pantone or mixed exclusively for your project. Pigment penetrates the wood; fibers and growth rings stay readable. The result is a floor with the character you want—from warm honey and walnut to cool grays and deep wenge or black.

Patina & Aging

Patina and aging are hand-applied finishing techniques that give parquet the look of nobly aged flooring. Dark compounds — wax, pigments, acrylic — are worked into recesses (pores, brushing grooves, seams); raised areas stay lighter, creating strong contrast and uneven tone. Soft wear and a sun-faded effect are possible. Each plank is finished by hand, so every floor is unique. This finish is chosen for bespoke interiors, loft and country styles, and restoration or period projects where character and a lived-in feel matter.

Brushing

Brushing selectively removes soft wood fibers with brushes, leaving the growth ring relief so the floor gains visible and tactile depth. It shows best on oak, ash, larch, and walnut. Often combined with tinting: pigment sits in the grooves and adds extra depth and character.

Thermal Treatment

Thermal treatment heats wood in a chamber to 180–240 °C with no chemicals. The fiber structure changes: the floor becomes more stable with humidity changes, resists warping and shrinking, and gains a deep dark tone (brown, caramel, graphite). Suited for use over underfloor heating, in variable climates, and where predictable long-term behavior matters.
