Installation of doors and portals

Stable door and portal installation: accurate opening geometry, even gaps and smooth hardware.

Our approach to stable door and portal installation

Before installation we record microclimate and geometry, then assemble the door set to specification: from opening preparation to final adjustment. The goal is smooth operation in any season without loss of geometry.

Preparation and climate

Preparation and climate

Before work we check humidity and temperature, finish floor condition and substrate stability. Balanced climate for wood reduces seasonal size change and twist risk.

Opening geometry

Opening geometry

We check plumb, level and diagonals, measure width and height at several points, relate to finished floor level. Deviations are resolved with a technical compensation plan.

Frame and portal

Frame and portal

We set the frame in the design plane with rigid fixing of key points, then assemble portal and architraves with a consistent profile rhythm. Junctions to wall, skirting and floor stay visually continuous.

Leaf and hardware

Leaf and hardware

We hang the leaf, fit locks, hinges, closers and magnetic latches with staged adjustment. Even working gaps, correct rebate and predictable movement without sticking.

Post-installation check

Post-installation check

We test opening and closing, locks and handles, architrave fit and perimeter joints. We hand over care notes and seasonal service adjustment guidance.

Quality checkpoints

  • Unified frame and portal geometry by level and diagonals.
  • Even working gaps around the leaf.
  • Correct lock, latch, closer and hinge action without force.
  • Stable junctions to floor, wall and skirting without visible steps.
  • Operating regime and service adjustment after handover.
